ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies won a tight, one-run ballgame on Monday thanks to sterling pitching. P.J. Conlon and Christian Montgomery held Augusta to just one run and Columbia won, 2-1.

BEST IN THE BUSINESS: P.J. Conlon is the only pitcher in Minor League Baseball to win seven straights starts. In fact, in all of professional baseball, only Chicago White Sox starter Chris Sale has won more consecutive starts (9) in 2016. Conlon has the most wins (7) in the South Atlantic League and the second best ERA (1.06).

RODRIGUEZ STILL HOT: Fireflies infielder J.C. Rodriguez is hitting .408 over his last 13 games with seven runs scored and six RBIs. The switch-hitter has a hit in 12 of his last 14 games. His batting average was at one point as low as .130 this season - it now sits at .268

QUARTER-FINALS: Fans can vote at this link for Spirit Communications Park in Ballpark Digest's "Best of the Ballparks" competition. Spirit Communications Park - rated a three-seed out of 30 Low-A Minor League ballparks - has advanced to the quarter-finals and is slotted against six-seed Fifth Third Field (Dayton Dragons - Midwest League, Cincinnati Reds). Voting for the quarter-final round ends Wednesday, May 25 at 10:00 p.m.

ROSTER MOVE: RHP Andrew Church has been added to Columbia's roster and starts Tuesday. OF Vicente Lupo was transferred to the Short-Season A Brooklyn Cyclones.

THE OTHER GUYS: The GreenJackets have a team batting average of .236, that's second worst in the South Atlantic League. Augusta hitters have also struck out a league-most 408 times this season.
