Norfolk Tides News Release
We're in the Hunt!
The first round of the International League Playoffs begins on Wednesday, September 5. Will the Tides be there? Maybe and we hope so. Right now, the Tides are in second place in the International League's South Division and just a few games behind first place Durham. Meanwhile, the Tides are also jockeying for position in the Wild Card race with the Clippers, RailRiders, and Mud Hens. It's a crowded field at the moment, but the Tides are hanging tough with the best of them.
If the Tides get ahead of Durham and win the South Division, the first playoff game at Harbor Park will be on Friday, September 7. If instead the Tides win the Wild Card, the first playoff game at Harbor Park will be on Wednesday, September 5. So, put a note on your calendar. We got a good feeling about this and we think there will be more baseball come September.
