Chiefs and Orange Partner for Fourth Annual SU Athletics Night at NBT Bank Stadium

The Syracuse Chiefs are excited to welcome Syracuse University Athletics back to NBT Bank Stadium for the fourth annual SU Athletics Night on Wednesday, August 22nd at 6:35 p.m. The Chiefs will host the the Lehigh Valley IronPigs that night.

Syracuse University head football coach Dino Babers and Syracuse Director of Athletics John Wildhack will both throw ceremonial first pitches before the game.

Otto the Orange, the University Dance Team, and the SU Spirit Squad will all be at the ballpark to commemorate the occasion. They will be performing and interacting with fans at the stadium throughout the game.

"It's great for fans in our community to have SU Athletics at NBT Bank Stadium and celebrate everything that Syracuse sports in this town have to offer," said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "We're excited to help kick off the athletics season for SU in a fun way! So many of our fans also root for the Orange, so we are happy to continue this fantastic partnership with our friends at SU."

SU Athletics will have a table on the concourse during the game with a prize wheel, posters, and more. Fans can check out the table to win prizes while learning about SU Athletics.

In addition, former Syracuse University basketball player and Jamesville-Dewitt graduate DaJuan Coleman will also be at the game and will sign autographs. Coleman was recently added to the Syracuse Stallions, a semi-pro basketball team in Central New York that is part of the American Basketball Association (ABA).

SU Athletics Night is also a Winning Wednesday. presented by The Score 1260. If the Chiefs win, you win. All fans can exchange their ticket for any remaining home game in the 2018 season if the Chiefs beat the IronPigs on Wednesday. Plus, come out to NBT Bank Stadium for Baseball Bingo, presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino. Fans play to win glamourous prizes throughout the game and win big at the ballpark!
