FC Dallas Announces 2022 Unified Team Roster
May 19, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, TX - FC Dallas announced its 2022 FC Dallas Special Olympics Unified Team roster today. With support from the FC Dallas Foundation, Globe Life, Gallagher and Toyota, and in partnership with Special Olympics Texas, this unique program provides training, competitions and social experiences for individuals with and without cognitive disabilities to create a unified soccer experience.
MLS' Soccer For All Week (May 12-23) is a League-wide initiative that reinforces the collective commitment to drive positive social change, foster more inclusive and equitable communities and support an end to discrimination. FC Dallas signed each member of the 2022 FC Dallas Unified Team to a two-year contract and presented players a 2022 FC Dallas Community Kit.
"The smiles you see when we do this here at FC Dallas is why we do it," said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. "It's why we love the game. It brings so much joy to several different people and bringing us all together as an organization is really special. The smiles do nothing but warm your heart and it makes us fall in love with soccer even more than we already are."
Chip Dutchik returns for his third season as the volunteer head coach of the Unified Team. Volunteer coach Kelsey Gray returns for her second year.
