Kane County Cougars News Release
GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Kansas City Royals, have announced that pitcher Cody Fassold has been sent to the Cougars, while pitcher Scott Alexander has been transferred to the Idaho Falls (Rookie-Advanced) roster. This afternoon's roster move brings the Cougars to an active squad of 25 players, the Midwest League maximum. Kane County opens a four-game series against Beloit this evening. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
Fassold (Non-drafted free agent, 2011) pitched in 19 games at Idaho Falls last season, posting a 1-2 record with a 4.24 ERA. Alexander (6th round, 2010) is 2-2 with a 2.34 ERA in 9 games.
