
Fans Win If Team Does This Sunday

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced that if they beat the Hershey Bears at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard this Sunday at 4:05 p.m., all fans can redeem their ticket stub from this Sunday's game for a free ticket to this coming Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. home game versus the Portland Pirates. If the Sound Tigers beat Hershey this Sunday, ticket stubs from that game can be redeemed at the Harbor Yard box office on a one-for-one basis for a ticket of equal or lesser value to Wednesday's game.
This Sunday will also be a "Slap Shot Sunday". Children who sign up at the Barnum Financial Group Sound Tigers Kids' Club table on the arena concourse will have the opportunity to take an on-ice shot on goal following the game. There will also be a Stamford Volvo Shootout and a MasterCard youth-hockey mini-game featuring the Greater New Haven Warriors Mite house team during the intermissions, and Tomi Pettinen will be signing autographs on the concourse after Sunday's contest.
The Sound Tigers will begin this weekend by visiting the Springfield Falcons tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. Both of this weekend's games will be web cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Sunday's game will also be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM pending the completion of University of Connecticut basketball.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
