
Falcons Drop Second Straight to Condors

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors defeated the Fresno Falcons for the second straight game, skating away with a 6-2 win on Monday in front of 4,602 fans at Rabobank Arena.
Despite out-shooting Bakersfield 9-2 in the first period, the Falcons found themselves trailing 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. At the 8:30 mark, Andrew Ianiero centered the puck to Tim Konsorada at the hash marks, and he snapped a shot over Jake Moreland's glove for his 31st goal of the season.
The Condors stretched the lead to 4-0 with three goals in the first 5:54 of the second period. Ianiero scored just 56 seconds into the second period, and Chris Di Ubaldo added a power-play goal at 5:03 to make it 3-0. Jay Langager beat Moreland from the left-wing circle just 51 seconds after the Di Ubaldo tally to give Bakersfield a four-goal advantage.
Konsorada added his second of the night at 16:52, giving Bakersfield a 5-0 advantage after 40 minutes.
Steve Slonina gave the Condors a 6-0 lead 14 seconds into the third period, beating Kris Mayotte with a shot from the right-wing circle.
Kenny Bernard got the Falcons on the board 8:58 into the final period, redirecting a Josh Prudden shot past Yutaka Fukufuji. The goal ended Fresno's scoreless drought at just over 111 minutes.
Matt Stefanishion added his 18th goal of the season on a Fresno power play with 1:41 remaining to set the final.
Fresno returns home on Friday, hosting the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7:30 p.m. on Raiders at the Rink Night, presented by CBS 47, KRZR 103.7 FM, B95, and Fox Sports Radio. The Raiderettes will be in attendance to sign autographs and perform during the first intermission, and Raiders linebacker and Fresno State alum Sam Williams will also be in attendance.
