Duchesne Gets First NHL Call-Up

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam and Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today that goaltender Jeremy Duchesne has been recalled by the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers.

Duchesne, a 6-foot, 201-pound native of Silver Spring, Maryland, was selected by the Flyers in the 4th round (#119 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The first year pro has a record of 12-12-2-3 with a 2.90 goal against average and .906 save percentage this season with the Bombers. He earned his first professional career shutout on January 25 against the Johnstown Chiefs with a 3-0 victory.

Duchesne was previously recalled to the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms in early November 2007.

The Flyers are in action on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday against the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders, respectively.

The Bombers return to action at the Nutter Center on Tuesday, March 25, as they take on the Reading Royals at 7:00 p.m. The following night the Wheeling Nailers come to town for a 7:00 p.m. make up of the February 18 contest. Both nights are "Dollar Dog Nights" at concessions where fans can get hot dogs for just $1!
