Falcons Blanked By Bruins 2-0

Springfield Falcons News Release


The Springfield Falcons lost to the Providence Bruins 2-0 on Saturday night in front of 4,906 at the MassMutual Center. Tuukka Rask recorded the shutout making 27 saves, while Falcons goaltender Devan Dubnyk turned aside 26 of 28 shots.

All the scoring on this night occured in the first period when Martins Karsums and Vladimir Sobotka scored goals for Providence building the Bruins' two-goal advantage. In the second period, Rask kept it a two-goal lead for Providence as he made key saves on Colin McDonald and Carl Corazzini.
