Amerks Recall Kevin Baker From Florida Everblades

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the team has recalled right wing Kevin Baker from the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Baker, 29, receives his first recall to the American Hockey League this season. A native of Kingston, Ontario, Baker leaves Florida after last night's two-point performance at Reading, finding himself third in the ECHL in scoring with 25 points (13+12) and heads to Rochester leading the Everblades in goals and assists in 15 games played. He is currently riding a five-game point scoring streak and has 11 points in the last three games. The 6-foot-1, 202-pound right wing was a seventh-round selection (193rd overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1999 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

In 81 career AHL games with the Lowell Lock Monsters, Saint John's Flames, Milwaukee Admirals and Toronto Marlies, Baker has registered 21 goals and 15 assists for 36 points to go along with 38 penalty minutes.

Rochester travels to Van Andel Arena to take on the Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday, November 29th. The 7:00 p.m. North Division showdown will be the first of eight meetings between the teams this season and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live.

The Amerks will return home again on December 5th to face the Iowa Chops. The 7:35 match-up will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live.
