Falcons Acquire Defenseman Dallas Jackson

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Wednesday that the team has acquired defenseman Dallas Jackson via trade with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in exchange for forward Jeremy Langlois.

Jackson, 24, has appeared in 53 games with the Sound Tigers this season, totaling 24 points (three goals, 21 assists), 36 penalty minutes and a -15 rating. In 79 career AHL games with Bridgeport and the Lake Erie Monsters, the Edson, Alberta native has amassed 28 points (three goals, 25 assists), 46 penalty minutes and a -15 rating. Jackson has also played in 132 career ECHL games with the Gwinnett Gladiators and the Reading Royals, registering 53 points (16 goals, 37 assists), 135 penalty minutes and a -13 rating.

Langlois, 23, is in his first season of professional hockey. In five games with the Falcons, the Tempe, Arizona native went scoreless with a -4 rating. Langlois has spent the majority of the season with the ECHL's Evansville IceMen, notching a team-high 52 points (16 goals, 36 assists) and 15 penalty minutes in 49 games.

The Falcons return to action at the MassMutual Center Friday, March 14 to host the Albany Devils and Saturday, March 15 to host the Providence Bruins. Both contests begin at 7:00 p.m.
