Portland Pirates News Release
St. John's, NL - The Portland Pirates begin a 3 game set in St. John's tonight against the IceCaps. Puck drop is 6 PM EDT as the Pirates look to improve their record against division rival St. John's. The IceCaps have a 7-1 lead in the season series, and a 2-1 lead in St. John's.
The Pirates' last game was Sunday, a 9-3 defeat at the hands of the Springfield Falcons. Tim Kennedy, Brett Hextall, and Brandon Yip scored for the Pirates and both Mark Visentin and Louis Domingue saw time in the Pirates net. The 9 goals allowed were the most in Pirates history at home.
The IceCaps are on an 8 game win streak that began with their win over the Pirates on February 18th at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston. During that span, the IceCaps have outscored their opponents 34-18, with the Pirates having scored 10 of those goals. St. John's last game was Saturday, a 3-2 OT win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in St. John's.

KeyBank Key to the Game
A Game of Chance: Despite Sunday's score against Springfield, the Pirates outchanced the Falcons, but failed to convert on their opportunities. Portland needs to use the opportunities they are afforded tonight in order to outscore the IceCaps.
