Worcester Sharks Announce Roster Moves

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Sharks (@WorcesterSharks), proud American Hockey League affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today that the San Jose Sharks have reassigned defenseman Nick Petrecki to Rochester (AHL) and forward Sebastian Stalberg from Ontario (ECHL) to Portland (AHL).

Petrecki is the Worcester Sharks all-time leader in games played (277) and 2nd all-time in penalty minutes (531). Nick was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks with the 28th pick overall in the 2007 NHL Draft and played one game for the San Jose Sharks during the 2012-13 season. He Won the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award in 2012, which is given annually to the AHL Man of the Year for his service to the community.

Stalberg played 102 games and recorded 28 points (14-14-28) with the Worcester Sharks after signing a contract with the San Jose Sharks on March 14, 2012. Sebastian recorded 15 points (8-7-15) in 19 ECHL games this season with San Francisco and Ontario.
