Weekly Rewind

Fri., Mar. 7- Penguins 1 at UTICA 2 (SO)

Brandon DeFazio tied the score for Utica with 7.2 seconds remaining in regulation and Cal O'Reilly notched the lone goal of the shootout to help the Comets rally to collect a 2-1 win. Spencer Machacek scored his seventh goal in his 10th game since being acquired by the Penguins.

Sat., Mar. 8 - Penguins 4 at HAMILTON 2

Andrew Ebbett and Tom Kostopoulos each converted on the power play in the opening minutes of the second period to help the Penguins to a 4-2 victory over the Bulldogs. Peter Mannino stopped 30 shots in net for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Sun., Mar. 9 - Penguins 4 at TORONTO 3 (SO)

Nick Drazenovic's extra-attacker goal with 12.9 seconds left in the third period forced an eventual shootout, where Jeff Deslauriers stopped 4-of-5 Marlies skaters to lift the Penguins to the 4-3 triumph. Scott Harrington and Anton Zlobin also netted goals for the Pens.

The Week Ahead

Fri., Mar. 14 - PENGUINS vs. Hamilton

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hamilton meet for the second and final time this season. The Bulldogs have a record of 25- 18-1-4 and are in fifth place in the North Division after dropping their last three contests.

Sat., Mar. 15 - PENGUINS vs. Norfolk

Norfolk has picked up points in all five meetings this season against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, going 4-0-0-1. The Penguins and Admirals (32-19-1-7) are currently knotted for the top spot in the East Division. The Admirals won 12 in row on the road versus the Penguins.

Ice Chips

- Nick Drazenovic's marker with the extra attacker on Sunday versus Toronto was the Penguins' first on the road since Jayson Megna did it on February 15 against Hershey.

- Peter Mannino's win over the Hamilton Bulldogs last Saturday was his first for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton since Oct. 19 at Worcester.

- Mannino has allowed two goals or less in all four appearances since being recalled from Wheeling on Feb. 28.

- Andrew Ebbett posted two goals and three assists over the Penguins' three-game, three-day weekend.
