Round Rock Express News Release
It's been nearly four years since he last pitched in the minors, but seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens will role back through the farm system starting June 6.
Clemens, who inked a one-year, $22 million pro-rated contract with the Houston Astros on Wednesday, will pitch alongside his son, Koby, at Single-A Lexington on June 6. He'll then make a stop in Double-A Corpus Christi before swinging into The Dell Diamond on Friday, June 16.
As of late Wednesday, berm seating remained for Clemens' scheduled stop in Round Rock.
Forty-three years-old, Clemens pitched for the University of Texas and was the 19th overall pick by the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the 1983 draft. He has more wins (341) than any active pitcher.
Clemens posted a 13-8 record with a 1.87 earned-run average in 32 regular-season games for Houston last year. He is scheduled to return to the Astros rotation on June 22 to start against the Twins.

Voice Your Vote
For the first time in 19 years, fans will have a chance to vote online for their favorite players to be selected to the Triple-A All-Star game.
Triple-A Baseball and MLB Advanced Media, LP announced this week that baseball fans, who have long had the privilege of voting for the Major League All-Star Game's lineups, will now be given that chance at Minor League Baseball's highest level.
The online balloting program will help determine the players in both the International League and Pacific Coast League who will be honored with a trip to the annual showdown between the two Triple-A Leagues. The 19th annual Triple-A All-Star Game will take place at Toledo's Fifth Third Field on Wednesday, July 12 at 6:00 p.m. CST.
The fan balloting, which will be held from June 1-23, will account for one-third of the total vote, along with ballots cast by members of the media (1/3) and each club's field manager, coaches, and general manager (1/3). Fans can select one player for each of the infield positions, plus three outfielders, a designated hitter and four pitchers - two starters and two relievers. Nominees will be chosen by the PCL and IL offices from players active as of May 26. Write-in votes for players not listed on the ballot will also be accepted.
The voting will begin June 1 on several websites, including www.rrexpress.com, www.MiLB.com, www.ILBaseball.com and www.PCLBaseball.com.
