Everblades Everblades Sign Forward Fukala

ESTERO, FL- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that forward Kevin Fukala has signed a contract with the club.

Fukala joins the Everblades after splitting his rookie season this year between the Bloomington Prairie Thunder of the Central Hockey League and the Augusta Riverhawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

The 25-year-old began the season with Bloomington where he skated in 17 games and recorded 46 penalty minutes. Fukala most recently played in four games with the Riverhawks, collecting 55 PIM.

The Elgin, Illinois native wrapped up a four-year collegiate career at the University of Central Oklahoma last season by playing in 14 games and 68 PIM. Overall from 2006-2010 at Central Oklahoma Fukala tallied 10 points (1g, 9a) and 200 PIM in 72 games.

The Everblades return to action on Sunday, December 19 when they travel to Charleston, SC to take on the South Carolina Stingrays at 4:05 p.m. from the North Charleston Coliseum.
