Reign Handed 5-1 Defeat by Condors

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL ‚¬â„¢s Los Angeles Kings, was outscored 5-1 by the visiting Bakersfield Condors before 6,882 Saturday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first period, Aaron Lewadniuk was pulled to the ice as he barreled down on Bakersfield goaltender Josh Tordjman, and was awarded a penalty shot. Lewadniuk went forehand to backhand and lifted the puck over Tordjman ‚¬â„¢s blocker to tie the game at 1-1.

The second period ended with Ontario down 2-1, but Bakersfield came out firing in the third, scoring three goals in six minutes to put the game away.

Beau Erickson saved 30 of the 35 shots he faced in his second start for the Reign. Two of the goals came while the Condors had a two-man advantage. Tordjman saved 24 of the 25 Reign shots.
