Estrada Recalled to Lowell

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush, along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Kevin Estrada was recalled to the American Hockey League by the Lowell Lock Monsters.

Estrada notched five points (1g, 4a) in seven games with the Everblades after being assigned to the club on November 22. Prior to joining the Everblades Estrada skated in eight games with the Lock Monsters. The 23-year-old native of Surrey, British Columbia did not register a point and collected six penalty minutes with Lowell earlier this season.

The former 3rd round draft pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2001 is in his rookie season after spending the last four years at the collegiate level with Michigan State University. Estrada is coming off a senior season with the Spartans having scored four points (3g, 1a) in 26 games. Overall in his college career Estrada notched 42 points (20g, 24a) in 135 games. His best season came during the 2002-03 campaign when he scored 16 points in 34 games.

The Everblades return to action Friday, December 9 when they host the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena!
