
Courchaine Named In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce that center Adam Courchaine has been named the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the week for November 28 December 4.
Courchaine scored 5 goals, 6 assists for 11 points, averaging over two points per game, and had four multiple-points games while helping the Ice Pilots go 3-1-1.
Courchaine began the week scoring two goals and picking up one assist in a shootout loss to Columbia on November 29 and had two assists in a 4-3 win at Augusta on November 30. He scored a career high four points with 2 goals and 2 assists in a 5-2 win vs. Bakersfield on December 2 and added a goal and an assist on December 3 in the Ice Pilots 2-1 win.
Courchaine has played in 9 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 7 goals, 6 assists for 13 points. He was selected in the seventh round (217th overall) by the Minnesota Wild in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He is under contract with Houston of the AHL and played in six games with the Aeros before joining the Ice Pilots.
Prior to turning professional, Courchaine played four seasons in the WHL from 2001-2005 with Medicine Hat and Vancouver, scoring 103 goals, 102 assists for 205 points in 214 regular season games. He led Vancouver in scoring in 2002-2003 with 85 points (43 goals and 42 assists) in 71 games and in 2003-04 with 82 points (39 goals and 43 assists) in 70 games.
The Ice Pilots will play at South Carolina tonight and at Augusta on Wednesday night at 6:05 p.m. central time. The Ice Pilots will also play at Florida on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. central time. The game is also available on a pay per view webcast at www.icepilots.com in conjunction with B2 Networks.
The Ice Pilots will return home to play Charlotte this Satu rday night at a special 8:05 p.m. face-off. The game is starting at 8:05 p.m. because of the University of West Florida graduation during the day at the Pensacola Civic Center. The first 1,000 fans will receive Ice Pilots key tags. Shaun Landolt and Mark Rooneem will sign autographs after the game.
Fans will also be able to call in and talk to Ice Pilots President Mario Forgione after the game on Saturday night on the Pen Air Federal Credit Union Post Game Show on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with flagship station AM 1620 and at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans will be able to call in and talk Ice Pilots hockey after every Saturday night home game on the post game show with Ice Pilots President Mario Forgione instead of during the pre-game.
