Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves look to bounce back from a 7-4 loss last night in game two of a four game series against the Harrisburg Senators at UPMC Park. The loss snapped the SeaWolves four-game winning streak. The Senators pounded out 17 hits, including six doubles, in the game. Alex Faedo takes the mound for the SeaWolves and is coming off of a quality start his last time out on June 24 at Binghamton. In the resumption of a suspended game from April 14, Faedo tossed 6.2 innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out four. The right-hander faced Harrisburg twice in 2018, going 1-1 in two starts with a 9.35 ERA (8.2 IP / 9 ER) along with five walks and eight strikeouts. Tyler Mapes takes the mound for the Senators and owns a 0-1 record and 4.70 ERA (15.1 IP / 8 ER) in three June starts. The right-hander made three starts against Erie in 2016 and maintained a 1.64 ERA in 22 innings, including a complete game victory on July 18, 2016 at FNB Field. Mapes was a 30th round selection by Washington in 2014 out of Tulane University.
