Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in doubleheader action at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves jumped ahead 7-0 after two innings and went on for a 7-1 win in the series opener. The 'Wolves have won three straight over Binghamton and have outscored the Mets 27-5 over those three games... The SeaWolves are a game under .500 entering play today, six games back of first place Harrisburg...Lefty Jay Voss takes the mound for the SeaWolves in game one making his sixth start and second against the Mets. Voss earned his third win in his last start at Reading on June 22. In the game, he allowed a run on four hits with a walk and six strikeouts. It was the third straight start for Voss with six or more strikeouts. Erie won the game 3-1...Lefty Ramon Garcia takes the mound for Erie in game two making his 13th appearance and fourth start. Garcia took a loss in his last start against Richmond on June 24. In the game, he allowed five runs on eight hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Erie was shut out in the game 8-0...LHP Robert Carson takes the mound for the Mets in game one making his 13th start and third against Erie. He is 0-1 in his previous two starts against the 'Wolves. Carson allowed two runs on four hits with six walks and four strikeouts in a no-decision in his last start against Akron.
