Thunder Receive Romanski from Tampa

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that LHP Josh Romanski has been promoted from Advanced A Tampa. In a corresponding move, C Ryan Baker has been placed on the Disabled List, retroactive to June 19. The moves leave the Thunder roster at its maximum of 24 active players.

Romanski has made 13 starts with the Advanced-A Tampa Yankees this season, compiling a 6-5 record with a 2.99 earned run average. Originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fourth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft, the Corona, California, native was signed by the Yankees as a Minor League Free Agent on April 14, 2010.

On Tuesday night at 7:05 PM at Waterfront Park, the Thunder will face the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in game two of a three-game series. Trenton will send LHP Manny Banuelos (3-1, 3.50) to the Waterfront Park mound, while New Hampshire will counter with Major League right-hander Jesse Litsch (0-0, 0.00), who is making his second Major League rehab assignment with the Fisher Cats. Tune into the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and trentonthunder.com. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Jay Burnham and Hank Fuerst begins at 6:45 PM.

After a Super Value Tuesday that will feature a Thunder Poster Giveaway to the first 2,000 fans thanks to White Eagle Printing, the Thunder will welcome Phil Hughes back to the Waterfront Park mound on Wednesday for his second Major League rehab assignment with the team in 2011.
