
Hechavarria Homers But Fisher Cats Fall in Trenton

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Trenton, NJ)---Adeiny Hechavarria homered and Jesse Litsch allowed one run in five innings in his second MLB Rehab start for the Fisher Cats, but New Hampshire dropped a 3-1 decision in Trenton on Tuesday night.
Trenton (45-32) broke a 1-1 tie with consecutive doubles off losing pitcher Clint Everts (0-1) in the bottom of the seventh inning. Bradley Suttle (2-for-3) doubled and scored on a double by Rob Lyerly to make it 2-1.
The Thunder also scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Ray Kruml tripled and scored on a single by Corban Joseph (3-for-4, 2 2B).
Fisher Cats starter Jesse Litsch, making his second MLB Rehab start for New Hampshire, retired the first ten Trenton batters he faced before Joseph doubled in the bottom of the fourth. Joseph scored on a single by Suttle to give the Thunder a 1-0 lead.
New Hampshire (46-29) came back to tie the game in the top of the fifth inning when Adeiny Hechavarria drilled a 3-1 pitch over the fence in left center for a solo home run and a 1-1 tie.
Pat Venditte (1-3) earned the win for Trenton and Alan Horne picked up his first save.
The Fisher Cats look to avoid the sweep on Wednesday afternoon in Trenton. New Hampshire will start RHP Chad Jenkins (1-1, 4.05) against RHP Phil Hughes (0-0, 2.70), who will make a Major League Rehab start for the Thunder. Game time is 12:05pm and radio coverage on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network with Bob Lipman begins at 11:45am.
