Today, the first place SeaWolves look for their third straight series win as they take on the Akron RubberDucks in the rubber game of a three-game series at UPMC Park. Last night, the SeaWolves let a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning slip away as they had their eight-game winning streak against Akron snapped by a 3-2 final. The loss, coupled with a Bowie loss, kept the Erie lead over Bowie at two games in the Western Division...Lefty Tarik Skubal takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his sixth start and first against the RubberDucks. Skubal earned his first Double-A win in his last start against Portland on August 7. He twirled five scoreless innings, allowing one hit with no walks and 10 strikeouts...Lefty Adam Scott takes the mound for the RubberDucks making his 11th start and first against Erie. Scott took a loss in his last start against Portland on August 11 allowing three runs, one earned, on four hits with no walks and six strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Scott began the season in Class-A Lynchburg where he made 12 starts, posting a 3-7 record with a 3.45 ERA. Scott was the Indians fourth round selection out of Wofford in 2018.
