ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look for a season-best five game winning streak as they take the field in the series opener against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Jerry Uht Park. Erie has won four straight for the third time this season. The other two times were 4/5 - 4/7 and 4/24 - 4/29. The SeaWolves are also looking for four straight home wins for the first time this season. The club has won three straight at home on two separate occasions...The SeaWolves come into action tonight in a fourth place tie with Altoona, 13.5 games behind the Aeros who sit atop the Southern Division. Both Erie and Akron are 5-5 in their last 10 games. Akron won their series finale against Reading on Sunday, 7-6, taking two of three from the last place R-Phils...Erie's sweep of Harrisburg put the team 10 games under .500 and just three games under .500 at home...Wilkin Ramirez had a moster weekend against the Senators going 6-for-11 with three home runs and five RBI...Righty Ben Fritz takes the mound in tonight's series opener. He took a loss in his last outing against Trenton going six innings, allowing seven runs, four earned, on nine hits with four walks (season-high) and two strikeouts. Fritz is making his first start against the Aeros...RHP Frank Herrmann takes the bump for Akron, making his 15th start of the season. Herrmann took a no-decision in his last start against Bowie going six innings, allowing six runs, four earned, eight hits with no walks and a strikeout. Herrmann has not allowed a walk in his last 19.0 innings.
