
Sens still can't figure out Baysox

Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators' struggles against the Bowie Baysox continued Monday as they lost, 8-2 at Commerce Bank Park. The Baysox exploded for five runs in the 5th inning to seize control.
Three Senators made their debuts at Double-A. Bill Rhinehart went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in his first at-bat. Leonard Davis went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and Edgardo Baez was hitless in three at-bats.
The Baysox jumped on top in the top of the 1st. Carlos Rojas drew a one-out walk and scored when Lou Montanez followed with an RBI double.
The Senators tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Mike Daniel led off with a double and two batters later, Rhinehart blooped an RBI single to right in his first Double-A at-bat to make it a 1-1 game.
In the bottom of the 2nd, Devin Ivany crushed a leadoff home run to give Harrisburg a 2-1 advantage.
Harrisburg had a chance to break it open in the bottom of the 4th. Davis and Ivany stroked back-to-back singles to start the inning, but never moved as the Senators came up empty.
In the top of the 5th, Ryan Finan was hit by a pitch and Sebastien Boucher followed with a single to put runners at the corners. Blake Davis lifted a sacrifice fly to tie it at 2-2. Two batters later, Rojas drew a walk and Montanez blasted a three-run homer to make it 5-2. Nolan Reimold made it back-to-back homers with a solo shot to left to make it 6-2.
In the 8th, the Baysox tacked on insurance runs when Mike Rodriguez hammered a two-out, two-run double to make it 8-2 Bowie.
RHP Adrian Alaniz took the loss in his first decision with the Senators, going five innings and allowing six earned runs. Bowie RHP Jason Berken notched the win to move to 6-3.
The Senators fell to 44-37. The Baysox improved to 47-36.
The Senators continue the four-game homestand Tuesday against the Bowie Baysox. Game time is 6:35 PM with LHP Mike Hinckley (4-2, 4.69 ERA) facing Bowie RHP Brad Bergesen (8-2, 2.63 ERA).
