ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves begin the final leg of their 10-game road trip as they take the field at Waterfront Park in the series opener against the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees). Trenton swept the âWolves in a four-game set at Jerry Uht Park May 5-8. Erie needs a four-game sweep to avoid dropping the season series. Despite losing records against six opponents this season, Erie has not dropped a season series...Trenton enters tonight's game as the top team in the Northern Division. They also own the second-best record in the EL (Only Akron has more wins and a better winning percentage)...The âWolves are 2-4 on their current trip after dropping two of three to both Binghamton and Harrisburg. Erie's 6-3 win over the Senators on Sunday snapped a three-game losing skid...Erie looks to win back-to-back games for the first time since June 14-15 against New Hampshire...Righty Josh Rainwater takes the mound for the âWolves, making his 12th appearance and 11th start of the season. Rainwater took a no-decision in his last outing against Binghamton. Four Erie errors in the game led to a pair on unearned runs for Rainwater who left the game trailing 4-3. Erie mustered their first come from behind win when trailing after six innings in that game...RHP Jason Jones takes the mound for the Thunder. Jones has dropped his last two outings against Connecticut and Harrisburg. He picked up a win against Erie on May 8 going five innings, allowing two runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

The streak is also tied for fourth-best in the EL this season. Both Aaron Bates and John Otness of Portland hit safely in 16 straight and New Britain's Luke Hughes hit safely in 17 straight. Erie had a pair of 15-game hitting streaks in 2007 by Jackson Melian and Andres Torres.
