Tonight, the SeaWolves look to equal their longest winning streak of the season at four games as they take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) in the second of a four-game series at The Diamond. Last night, the SeaWolves benefitted from a season-high four errors by the Squirrels en route to a 6-3 win in the series opener. The 'Wolves have won three straight games on the road for the first time this season and a win tonight would equal Erie's longest win streak of four which was done May 7-10...Righty L.J. Gagnier takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his ninth start. He is 0-1 with a no-decision in his last two starts. Gagnier took a no-decision in his last start against Trenton on May 19. He equaled a season-high tossing seven innings, allowing five runs, four earned, on seven hits with a walk while tying a season-high with eight strikeouts. The righty left with the game tied 5-5 and the game went 16 with Erie falling 9-6...LHP Eric Surkamp takes the mound for Richmond making his ninth start. He has taken no-decisions in back-to-back starts. In his last start against Bowie, Surkamp went a season-high 7.2 innings, allowing a run on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Surkamp is second in the league with a 1.76 ERA and 61 strikeouts. He makes his sixth home start and is 1-0 with an 0.88 ERA at The Diamond. In 30.2 innings at home, Surkamp has allowed three runs on 23 hits with nine walks and four strikeouts... Richmond boasts the best pitching staff in the league with a 2.88 team ERA. The Squirrels have allowed 153 runs (second-fewest in the EL)..Erie's three wins on the current trip is the most the 'Wolves have won on a road trip this season.
