BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today a Harry Potter Party at Prince George's Stadium Friday, June 3, as the team takes on the New Britain Rock Cats at 7:05 p.m. The event celebrates the boy wizard who defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named with a live Quidditch match, Harry Potter look-alike contest, video clips from the Harry Potter movies and Harry Potter trivia.

Baysox Community Programs Manager Dana DeFilippo helped plan the festivities. "We wanted to create an event where witches and warlocks could celebrate alongside muggles," DeFilippo said. "While the muggles may not fully understand Quidditch or the enormity of Potter's accomplishments, they will still have a blast at the party."

Since the first Harry Potter book was published in June of 1997, the series has spanned seven award-winning novels that have been translated into 67 different languages. The series has also spawned eight feature-length movies and eight video games based on the books.

Baysox Baseball - We'll Knock Your 'Sox Off. The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway. Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
