
Senators Slug Their Way to 11-6 Win Over Akron

On Tuesday night the Harrisburg Senators evened their series with the Akron Aeros with an 11-6 win. The posted their season high run total, 11, and moved back into a tie for first place with the win. They also improved to 21-20 on the season and 3-1 on the road trip.
Five different Senators had two hits (Lombardozzi, Johnson, Moore, Rhinehart, and Tucker). Johnson, Norris and Tucker all had two RBIs in the game as well.
The Sens built a 9-0 lead before Akron rallied for three runs in the fifth and then three more in the sixth. Matt Chico picked up the win in relief of Erik Davis, who pitched 4.2 innings, not long enough to qualify for the win. Erik Arnesen pitched the final three innings, retiring 10 of the 11 batters he faced to earn his first save on the season.
Derek Norris hit his second home run in as many days, a two-run shot in the first, and Moore added a solo home run to center in the ninth inning.
Game three of the four-game series is Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. at Canal Park in downtown Akron. The game can be heard beginning at 6:50 p.m. on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and on your ipad or iphone. The Senators return home on Friday night to begin a five-game in four-day series with the Bowie Baysox.
On game days, the Metro Bank Park box office is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until the end of the game, and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the end of the game. Box office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours.
