Tonight, the SeaWolves look for a three-game winning streak as they take on the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in the opening game of a three game series at Hadlock Field. Last night, the SeaWolves won a 17-inning, 9-7 game over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to earn back-to-back wins for the first time since July 5-6. It was also Erie's first series win since the July 4-6 series against Akron. The 17 innings was the longest game in SeaWolves history. The previous record was 16 innings on May 19, 2011 against Trenton...Today, lefty Ramon Garcia takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 17th appearance, 16th start. Garcia returned to Erie following his start on July 27 with the Mud Hens. Garcia took a loss in his last start against Columbus on July 27. In the game, he allowed six runs on 10 hits with a walk and two strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work. Toledo lost the game 13-2...RHP Jeremy Kehrt takes the mound for the Sea Dogs making his 20th appearance and ninth start. Kehrt's last eight appearance have come as a starter. In his last outing against Binghamton, Kehrt allowed a run on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. He has won three of his last four starts and has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all four starts in that span...The SeaWolves will play three games this weekend in Portland before returning home for an off day on Monday. Erie will welcome New Hampshire and Portland for their lone trips to Jerry Uht Park next week.

Romero is sixth in the EL with a .306 average.- Romero is the third-toughest hitter to strike out in the league with one strikeout in every 9.75 place appearances.- Jamie Johnson has been transferred to Triple-A Toledo and the SeaWolves have received RHP Rob Waite from Toledo. Waite will join Erie on Saturday.
