----- Today, the SeaWolves look to avoid dropping their fourth straight and equaling their low-water mark of the season as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the final game of a five-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Yesterday, the 'Wolves ran into Zack Wheeler who tossed a complete game shutout, hading Erie its third consecutive loss. After putting up 11 runs in the series opener, Erie has combined to score just four runs over the last three games against the Mets. With Harrisburg falling yesterday, the second through sixth place teams in the EL West are separated by just 4.5 games...Lefty Kelvin De La Cruz makes his 19th appearance, 17th start and his fourth appearance against Binghamton. He is 0-2 in his previous three appearances against the Mets. De La Cruz took a no-decision in his last start against Harrisburg on July 7. In the game, he allowed two runs on eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. Erie lost the game 5-3 in 10 innings...RHP Gonzalez Germen takes the mound for the Mets making his 12th appearance, 11th start and first appearance against Erie. Germen snapped a two-game skid in his last start against Altoona on July 8. In the game, he allowed five runs on five hits with five walks and one strikeout in 7.1 innings of work...The SeaWolves return home on Monday to take on the Bowie Baysox for a three-game series. Prior to Monday nights game, Futures Game standouts Bruce Rondon and Nick Castellanos will be honored.
