----- Tonight, the SeaWolves look to get back to the .500 mark as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in doubleheader action at NYSEG Stadium. Last night, the SeaWolves slugged their way to an 11-7 win over the Mets in the series opener. The win, coupled with a Harrisburg loss, means the SeaWolves are just 3.5 games behind the wild card leaders heading into play on Friday...RHP Patrick Cooper takes the mound for Erie in game one making his 14th appearance and seventh start and third appearance against the Mets. Cooper has faced the Mets once as a starter and once as a reliever. He beat Binghamton on June 23. Cooper was a tough luck loser in his last start against Harrisburg on July 8. In the game, he allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and two strikeouts in a season--high seven innings of work. Erie lost the game 3-1...RHP David Kopp takes the mound for the 'Wolves in game two making a spot start. Kopp makes his eighth appearance and first start. Kopp last appeared against Harrisburg on July 8 allowing a run on two hits with no walks and two strikeouts in two innings. Kopp was roughed up by the Mets on June 22 allowing six runs on six hits in 1.2 innings pitched...RHP Cory Mazzoni goes for the Mets in game one making his fifth start and first against Erie. Mazzoni won his last start against Altoona tossing seven shutout innings allowing three hits...Lefty Mark Cohoon will start game two for Binghamton making his 14th start and third against Erie. Cohoon is 1-1 in his previous two starts against the 'Wolves. He beat Richmond in his last start allowing a run on five hits in seven innings.
