Tonight, the Erie will look to break a three-game skid after being swept for second time this season, at Trenton from 4/26-28. The SeaWolves are now 2-7 in their past nine games and have fallen below .500 for the first time in 2019. They will turn to the 2018 number one overall pick, Casey Mize who is making his Double-A debut. The 21-year old was promoted from High-A Lakeland on 4/25 after a pitching combined 26.0 innings across four starts, allowing one run (0.35 ERA) while striking out 25 and walking one. The start will be the 10th of his professional career and his first road start of the season. He will be opposed by Cam Vieaux, who began the season pitching 11.2 consecutive scoreless innings. Lost his last decision on 4/23 at Harrisburg, giving up four runs (all earned) on five hits in 5.0 innings. Vieaux is making his first start of 2019 against Erie after pitching three times versus the SeaWolves a year ago. In those starts his line was: 15.0 IP, 6 ER, 15 K / 3 BB (1-1, 3.60 ERA)
