ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 6, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals finish off a busy four-game week this afternoon by playing host to the Trenton Titans. The Jackals are gunning for their third win of the week, and also celebrating Blade's Birthday and holding a post-game skate with the team.

The Jackals are facing the Titans tonight for the seventh of 16 meetings this season and third of eight at First Arena. The Jackals are 3-2-1 against the Titans but fell 5-4 against them in the most recent meeting on December 19. Elmira and Trenton are each capping three-in-threes today with the Jackals (1-1-0) looking to come out of theirs with a winning record while the Titans (0-2-0) are trying to salvage the weekend before returning home. The Titans look a bit different since the last time the teams met because Marcel Noebels, Phil DeSimone, Blake Kessel, and Ian Slater have been called to the AHL, and Ryan Hayes was traded.
Entering play on Sunday, the Jackals are in pretty exclusive company when it comes to a balanced scoring attack. They have six active players with 20 or more points which puts them in a tie, along with Alaska, Greenville, Idaho, and San Francisco, for second most. Only Reading and Stockton have more with seven each. Lately Andrew Rowe, Dustin Gazley, and Louie Caporusso have been leading the charge with seven game point streaks each. They are within one of tying Caporusso's season-best eight game streak (11/24-12/15).
