WET WEDNESDAY / BEST OF THE 90'S NIGHT

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After setting the club record for regular season attendance last night at U.S. Bank Arena, the Cyclones hit the road for a Sunday evening match-up with the Evansville IceMen. The Clones have earned a 4-2 record against their Indiana foes, outscoring them 21-15 in the season series thus far. The teams have seven more meetings including tonight.

SCOUTING THE ICEMEN: Rich Kromm's club has dropped eight of their last ten games, yet remain within striking distance of Kalamazoo in the North Division Standings; Evansville sits just four points back coming into the night. Veterans Josh Beaulieu and Todd Robinson are still atop the team's scoring list - with 31 points and 27 points respectively. However, they have combined for a dismal minus 32 plus/minus rating. Former Cyclone Nathan Moon has also been a solid offensive contributor - posting 23 tallies (11 goals, 12 assists) in 28 games. Between the pipes, Paul Dainton and Paul Karpowich have been to go-to guys for the IceMen of late; Dainton, who has yet to face Cincinnati this year, is 1-5-0-1 with a 3.70 goals against average. Karpowich has amassed a 4-7-0-1 mark with a GAA of 3.49. Against Cincinnati, he is winless in two tries with a 3.48 GAA.

About Last Night vs. Fort Wayne: A four goal outburst by the Komets proved to be too much for the Cyclones to overcome as the visiting club earned a 5-4 win in front of a regular season record crowd of 12,228 at U.S. Bank Arena on Throwback Night and Teddy Bear Toss Night.

Nail Biters are the Norm: The Cyclones have found themselves in a ton of close contests so far this season. They have the most one-goal finishes of any team in the ECHL (21). They are 12-7-2 in such situations...which is the second-most wins of any team in the league.

Slamming the Door: Cincinnati remains one of the ECHL's toughest teams to beat late in games. They are a perfect 12-0-0 when leading through 40 minutes of play and have registered 40 goals in the final stanza - their best of any regulation period.

Mark of Consistency: Second-year rear guard Chris Reed has already surpassed his offensive totals from his rookie season. Yet, he's been known this year for his defensive reliability. The former Ohio State Buckeye is sixth in the ECHL with a +16 rating.
