Frisco RoughRiders News Release

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders used an eight-run seventh inning to down the San Antonio Missions 12-10 on Thursday from Riders Field.

Trailing 9-4 entering into the seventh, Frisco (29-16) began their comeback. Steele Walker started the inning's scoring with an RBI single before Jordan Procyshen added two more runs on a base hit of his own to make it 9-7 San Antonio (23-22). Trace Loehr was then hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in another tally and Josh Stowers gave Frisco the 10-9 lead with a two-run single to center. Rehabber David Dahl and Josh Jung then added on with RBI singles of their own and the RoughRiders led 12-9. The eight runs were Frisco's season high in a single inning.

The Missions added a harmless run in the eighth, but the RoughRiders completed the come-from-behind win for the second-straight night. It was Frisco's seventh-straight win and their third time in the last week they had come back to win from a deficit of at least five runs.

Tyler Thomas (1-0) earned the win with his 1.1 innings out of the bullpen and Cole Uvila took home his eighth save of the season by throwing the last two innings.

Dylan Rheault (0-1) was handed the loss for San Antonio.

To start off the scoring, the Missions put up three runs in the first inning on RBI hits from CJ Abrams, Kyle Overstreet and Allen Cordoba.

The Riders struck back with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first by Walker, but San Antonio answered with two more runs in the second on a two-run blast by Jose Azocar to make it 5-1.

In the bottom of the second, Frisco scored thrice on RBI doubles by Stowers and Jung coupled with a run scoring on a throwing error and the Riders were within one at 5-4.

Jack Suwinski then went deep in the fourth for the Missions, a three-run shot, to increase the advantage to 8-4, and a run scored on an error in the fifth before the Riders began their return.

The Riders and Missions are back in action Friday, June 25 at 7:05. Frisco will send RHP Ronny Henriquez (0-0, 12.15) to the mound against RHP Reiss Knehr (5-1, 3.74).
