
Eight Area High Schools Compete in Admirals Cup

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals Governor/CEO Harris Turer announced today that the team will host the Admirals Cup presented by Bradley Corporation from December 23rd through December 28th. For the third straight year the Admirals Cup will include eight high schools from the metro Milwaukee area with games taking place at Wilson Park and the Bradley Center. The Admirals Cup is once again held in conjunction with a pair of 7:00 pm Admirals games on December 26th and 28th.
Brookfield, Cedarburg, Germantown, Kettle Moraine, Greendale, Marquette University High School, Whitefish Bay/Nicolet/Shorewood and Hartland Arrowhead High School will each play three games and all of the squads will play one of their games on the Bradley Center ice.
The Admirals Cup will kick off with four games at Wilson Park (1601 W. Howard Ave) beginning at 9:00 am on Friday, December 23rd. Games will continue on the 26th at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm at Wilson Park and 12:06 pm and 2:46 pm at the Bradley Center. The Championship Game will take place on Wednesday, December 28th at 2:46 pm at the Bradley Center. A complete schedule of games is attached.
In the opening round of the tournament top seeded and defending tournament champions Marquette will square off with Greendale Ice Force, Brookfield plays Germantown, Cedarburg faces off against Kettle Moraine and Arrowhead battles WNS.
The Championship team will then be honored during the Admirals game versus the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday evening. In addition, the Admirals will make a $2,000 donation to each of the teams participating in the showdown.
All of the games for The Admirals Cup are free to attend. For Bradley Center games, fans should enter the building through Lobby A, with doors opening at 11:30 am on the 26th and 28th. The Championship Game will also be replayed on Sports 32 on Time Warner Cable in Southeast Wisconsin the following week.
This is the sixth season of high school hockey at the Bradley Center and the second with Bradley Corporation as the presenting sponsor.
The Admirals return to action Friday, December 16th at 7:00 pm against the Toronto Marlies at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center. The first 10,000 fans will take home a 2012 Admirals/We Energies Calendar. Fans can purchase tickets for this weekend's games, or any Admirals game, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or logging on to milwaukeeadmirals.com. Groups of ten or more people receive at least $2 off the face value of each ticket.
