Gilbert Reassigned to Toledo

Rockford, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Tuesday that they have reassigned center David Gilbert from the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

In his first professional season, Gilbert has registered two points (1g-1a) in 10 games for the IceHogs this season. The Chateauguay, Quebec native has also tallied six points (1g-5a) in nine games for the Walleye in 2011-12.

Prior to 2011-12, the centerman played six total games with the IceHogs over two campaigns following his seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, scoring two goals and two assists.

In 209 games in the QMJHL, Gilbert notched 70 goals and 86 assists with the Quebec Remparts and Acadie-Bathurst Titans

Gilbert was drafted by the Blackhawks in the seventh round (209th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft,

Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 16 vs. Peoria. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Rivermen return to the BMO Harris Bank Center for an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup for a fourth time this season. The first 1,500 fans (21 and older) into the building will receive a voucher for an IceHogs pitcher, courtesy of Applebee's.
