RHP Jerad Eickhoff tossed eight shutout innings and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (53-63) plated seven runs in the fourth to propel themselves to a 9-0 win over the Columbus Clippers (63-52) on Sunday night at Huntington Park.
The IronPigs took two of three in the series to capture a set at Huntington Park for the first time in franchise history.
Eickhoff (2-0) allowed five hits to go along with a walk and four strikeouts over his eight innings of work.
The afore-mentioned seven-run fourth opened up a 7-0 lead for the IronPigs. Aaron Altherr started the inning with a solo shot and came through later in the frame with a two-run single, Erik Kratz hit a three-run blast off of Clippers LHP Michael Roth and Tyler Henson knocked home a run with a sac fly.

In the top of the sixth, Kratz led off with a single, went to third on an error charged to Columbus SS Erik Gonzalez and scored when KC Serna grounded into a double play to extend the IronPigs' lead to 8-0.
Chase d'Arnaud's solo shot in the top of the eighth off of LHP Nick Maronde (3.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 K) gave Lehigh Valley a 9-0 advantage. It was the fourth home run of the year for d'Arnaud.
In a spot start, Clippers starter Dustin Molleken (n/d) allowed two hits to go along with a pair of walks and three strikeouts over 2.2 scoreless IP.
