Six runs over the first two innings and RHP Aaron Nola's five shutout innings helped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (31-48) cruise to an 8-1 win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (43-35) on Monday night at Coca-Cola Park.

Nola (3-0) allowed five hits over his five scoreless frames while walking three and fanning four.

Three more runs in the home half of the second extended the lead to 6-0 as Phelps plated a pair with a two-run single and Edgar Duran brought home another with an RBI double down the right field line.

All six runs were charged to RailRiders starter Jose De Paula (2-1) who allowed the six runs on eight hits while walking one and fanning one over two innings of work.

In the third, Jordan Danks drew a one-out walk and scored on Gabriel Lino's RBI double to open up a 7-0 advantage for the Pigs.

Danks led off the eighth with a double and later scored on Tyler Henson's RBI single to give Lehigh Valley an 8-0 lead.

RHP Nefi Ogando (2.0 IP, H, BB, K) and LHP Adam Loewen (1.0 IP) combined to toss three scoreless innings out of the bullpen for manager Dave Brundage's squad.
