The International League announced today that Louisville outfielder Yorman Rodriguez and Rochester pitcher Tyler Duffey have been named the League's Batter and Pitcher of the Week for the period from June 22-Â28.  Duffey's award is the League-Âbest fourth weekly honor for the Red Wings this season, as he follows fellow pitchers Pat Dean (April 13-Â19) and Tommy Milone (May 11-Â17 & May 18-Â24).  Rodriguez becomes the first member of the Bats to be so honored this season, and the first Batter of the Week from Louisville since Cody Puckett in 2012 (June 18-Â24).Â
YORMAN RODRIGUEZ, Louisville Bats                                                        IL BATTER OF THE WEEKÂ
Bats outfielder Yorman Rodriguez hit .444 over the past seven days and led the International League with 12 hits and 12 RBI.  Rodriguez produced three different three-Âhit games this week, including a five-ÂRBI performance in Louisville's 15-Â2 win Thursday at Scranton/Wilkes-ÂBarre and a four-ÂRBI effort in Friday's 11-Â5 win at Lehigh Valley.  This season Rodriguez leads the Bats club in several offensive categories, including hits, doubles, homers, RBI, and runs scored.  22-Âyear-Âold Yorman Rodriguez is in his first season at the Triple-ÂA level.  His professional career began in 2009 after signing with the Reds as a non-Âdrafted free agent.  Last season he was an All-ÂStar in the Double-ÂA Southern League before making his Major League debut in September for Cincinnati. Rodriguez is a native of Ocumare de la Costa, Venezuela.Â
TYLER DUFFEY, Rochester Red Wings                                                          IL PITCHER OF THE WEEKÂ
Right-Âhander Tyler Duffey won back-Âto-Âback outings for the Red Wings this week without allowing an earned run, totaling a League-Âbest 14.1 innings pitched and ten strikeouts.  He went 7.1 frames in Rochester's 3-Â2 win last Monday at Pawtucket, allowing just five hits and a walk while striking out six.  Then back home on Sunday in Game 1 of a doubleheader against Charlotte, Duffey delivered his first career complete game shutout, scattering four hits with one walk over 7.0 innings in a 1-Â0 Red Wings victory.  After his mid-ÂMay promotion from Double-ÂA Chattanooga, Duffey lost his first four starts with the Red Wings, but he's now gone three straight starts without allowing an earned run to improve his record to 3-Â4.  24-Âyear-Âold Tyler Duffey is in his fourth season as a professional pitcher.  He was selected by Minnesota in the 5th round of the 2012 draft out of Rice University.  He led the Twins farm system with 13 wins in 2014 between Class-ÂA Ft. Myers, Double-ÂA New Britain, and Rochester.  Duffey is a  native of Houston, Texas.Â
