ANCHORAGE, AK. - The Colorado Eagles rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the second period to grab a 4-3 victory in Alaska, Colorado's 10th consecutive win. The 10-game winning streak is now the third longest winning streak in Colorado Eagles history. Eagles forward Matt Garbowsky finished the night with a goal and an assist, while defenseman Teigan Zahn posted a pair of assists in the winning effort.

Colorado raced out to a 1-0 lead when forward Kenny Brooks stuffed home a rebound on top of the crease to give the Eagles the early edge just 1:24 into the contest.

Alaska would counter with a goal of its own off a 2-on-1 rush down the ice, as forward Stephen Perfetto wired a wrist shot from the right circle past Eagles goaltender Clarke Saunders to knot the game at 1-1 at the 4:21 mark of the opening period of play.

Later in the first period, the Aces would earn a power play that would lead to defenseman Marc-Andre Levesque uncorking a slapshot from the blue line that would deflect off a set of skates and into the net to give Alaska a 2-1 lead with 7:41 left to play in the opening 20 minutes of action.

Down by one goal after the first period, the Eagles responded with a pair of goals in the second period, the first coming from a beautiful pass up the ice from defenseman Jake Marto who hit Garbowsky on the tape heading into the Aces zone. Garbowsky would slip around the lone Aces defender and fire a shot from the left circle over the shoulder of Aces goalie Michael Garteig to tie the game at 2-2 with 6:19 remaining in the middle frame. The goal was Garbowsky's team-leading 29th tally of the season.

Just minutes later, forward Ryan Harrison would feed a cross-slot pass to line mate Luke Salazar who would one-time the puck into the net to give Colorado a 3-2 lead with 3:03 remaining in the second period.

After exchanging opportunities in the third period, Alaska would pull Garteig in favor of the extra attacker and the Eagles would grow their lead off an empty-net goal from defenseman Michael Sdao to give Colorado the 4-2 advantage.

Alaska would counter with five seconds remaining in regulation when defenseman Mackenzie Stewart buried a shot from the point through traffic to light the lamp and trim the Eagles lead to 4-3. The Aces would draw no closer, as Colorado would hold on for the 4-3 victory.
