
Everblades Announce Several Roster Moves

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced several roster moves ahead of Saturday's game against Greenville. Saturday's roster moves are as follows:
The Carolina Hurricanes have reassigned goaltender Daniel Altshuller and forward Clark Bishop (pictured above) to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Defenseman Shane Baker who was recalled by the Manitoba Moose (AHL) on Friday, has been reassigned back to the Everblades.
The Everblades have also agreed to terms with forwards Louis Belisle and Matt Harrington. Florida has also added Chuck Fabio as an emergency backup goaltender.
----- Baker, 25, has logged a goal and an assist in six games played with the Everblades this season. He returns from Manitoba where he has collected one assist in 10 appearances. In addition, Baker was scoreless in three games played with the Quad City Mallards (ECHL). The 6-5, 225-pound defenseman totaled 25 points (8g, 17a) and 169 penalty minutes in 144 games during his collegiate career with Northern Michigan University from 2011-2015. Baker is on a 2-way AHL contract with Manitoba this season.
Belisle, 25, has posted 33 points (12g, 21a) in 37 games with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). Belisle made one appearance for the Everblades this season back on Feb 1 against Greenville. The 5-9, 175-pound forward totaled 60 points (28g, 32a) in 86 games with the Columbus Cottonmouths (SPHL) from 2014-2016. Belisle also totaled 73 points (42g, 31a) during his 100-game collegiate career with Middlebury College.
Harrington, 26, has registered 16 points (6g, 10a) in 36 games played with the Mississippi RiverKings (SPHL) this season. Harrington has amassed 141 points in 207 career SPHL games with the RiverKings from 2012-2017. The 5-11,194-pound center has recorded three points (1g, 2a) in 20 ECHL games split between the Alaska Aces and Wheeling Nailers. The North Port, Florida native appeared in the Everblades' lone preseason game back on Oct. 8.
Altshuller, 22, returns to Charlotte where he holds a 3-3-0 record, with a 3.03 goals-against-average and a 0.903 save percentage this season. The 6-4, 201-pound netminder has logged a 6-0-0-2 record, a 1.94 goals-against-average and a 0.924 save percentage this season with the Everblades. Altshuller has also been recalled by the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes twice this season, but did not play. Altshuller has totaled a 24-7-2 record with the Everblades during the past three seasons. The Nepean, Ontario native is a third-round draft selection of the Hurricanes in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Bishop, 20, returns to Charlotte where has recorded four points (2g, 2a) in 28 games this season. In 15 appearances with the Everblades this season, Bishop has logged eight points (2g, 6a). The 6-0, 192-pound rookie center totaled 129 points (57g, 72a) with 227 penalty minutes during his four-year career with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2012-16.The St. John's, Newfoundland native was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the-fifth-round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
