Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, behind a 24-save performance by Riley Gill, shutout the Indy Fuel 6-0 on Friday night for his 6th whitewash of the season.
Zach Hall and Spencer Asuchak each had a goal and an assist to lead the way for Allen. Chad Costello picked up a helper on Gary Steffes 13th goal of the season, to reach 98 points on the year. David Makowski, with an assist, extended his point streak to 11 games. The Americans improved to 5-0 on the season against the Fuel and a perfect 4-0 against them at Allen Event Center.
"We played a solid game tonight," said Americans Goalie Riley Gill. "The defense did a good job late to kill the five-on-three Indy power play, along with a big faceoff win from Jake Marchment."
The Americans outshot Indy 31 to 24 for the game. Allen went 1 for 3 with the man-advantage, while Indy went 0 for 3.
The Americans continue the homestand tomorrow night against the Rapid City Rush at 7:05 PM. The 8th Annual Police vs. Fire hockey game is first at 5:05 PM. Tickets for both games are on sale NOW at www.ticketmaster.com or at Allen Event Center Box Office Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 AM.
