Colorado Eagles News Release
LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles soared above the San Francisco Bulls, 4-1, at the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday night. San Francisco outshot Colorado 22-21 but they could not take home a win. The Eagles went 3-0-0 in this home series with the Bulls.
Eagles forward Teegan Moore hammered a shot past Bulls goalie J.P. Anderson, 3:34 into the first frame, to put the Eagles on the board first, 1-0. Less than three minutes later, San Francisco forward Brett Findlay took advantage of a power play to tie the game at 1-1. The Eagles would retaliate before the horn, as rookie defenseman Daniel Johnston notched his first professional goal to put the Eagles in the lead, 2-1, 17:32 into the first.
Midway through the second period, Colorado forward Ray Sawada made the most of a power play opportunity for Colorado to up the Eagles lead to 3-1.
The third period of play was a physical one, but the period's lone goal would go to the Eagles, as Colorado forward Kevin Ulanski scored on an empty net to finalize the score at 4-1.
It is always the Colorado Eagles pleasure to honor all of the men and women that have served and are currently serving our county. On Wednesday, November 6th the Eagles are hosting Military Appreciation Night. With the help of season ticket holders and others from around the community the Eagles are able to offer tickets to military personnel, veterans and their families to give these great men and women a chance to enjoy a thrilling night of hockey!
