Colorado Eagles News Release

LOVELAND, Colo. -The Colorado Eagles (37-19-0-3) shutout the Bakersfield Condors (23-26-3-5) Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center behind goaltender Aaron Crandall, who stopped all 29 shots thrown his way in only his second start in an Eagles uniform.

The Eagles started much faster than they did on Wednesday night as forward Kyle Kraemer hammered home a rebound goal on the Eagles second shot to give Colorado the 1-0 lead 8:04 into the contest.

Forward Jordan Kwas gave Colorado's power play life 8:15 into the second with a steal in the offensive zone resulting in the Eagles third power play goal in as many games, beating Condors netminder Frans Tuohimaa far-side as the Eagles took a 2-0 edge.

With 13:14 remaining in the contest, forward Nathan Moon cut through two would-be Condors defensemen on a breakout pass from defenseman Teigan Zahn, then proceeded to deke around Tuohimaa to give Colorado a 3-0 advantage. Colorado wasn't done as forward Brock Nixon came wrapping around the net, hitting defenseman Vitalijs Pavlovs for the easy tap-in goal, leaving the Condors staring down a 4-0 deficit with 4:06 to go.

Bakersfield stays in town for one more night, as they face the Eagles once more on Saturday night.
