Windsor, CO – The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Colorado Eagles Ticket Manager Chris Augusto has been named the CHL employee of the month.

Augusto, an Arvada native and graduate of the University of Greeley, has been recognized for his outstanding accomplishments in ticket sales as well as his patience, persistence, and dedication to assuring that Colorado Eagles season ticket holders, 4200 in all, are one hundred percent satisfied with their purchase and commitment to the Colorado Eagles.

"The Colorado Eagles have enjoyed a remarkable inaugural season to date, and the significant efforts of Augusto in particular should be recognized," stated CHL President Brad Treliving. "His commitment to outstanding customer service is exceptional, and his sales accomplishments speak for themselves."

"I am honored to receive this kind of recognition," stated Ticket Manager Augusto. "It has been a lot of work and all of the Colorado Eagles success on the ticketing side would not have been possible without the help and dedication of the entire ticketing staff."

"As a new franchise working with not only a new building, but a new ticketing system as well, Augusto has faced numerous challenges and has worked diligently through every issue he has faced to ensure the satisfaction of our season ticket holders," stated General Manager Ralph Backstrom. "This award is most definitely deserved."

The Colorado Eagles are currently first in the Northwest Division and are second overall in the Central Hockey league, behind the Laredo Bucks. The Eagles currently have three players in the league's top five for points. Eagles right winger Greg Pankewicz leads the league in points with 42, left winger Ryan Tobler is second in the league with 40 points, and center Riley Nelson is fifth in the league with 35 points. Eagles goalie Ryan Bach currently leads the league in; minutes in wins with 13; saves with 533; and in minutes in the net (1261:55).

The Colorado Eagles are 15-7-1 on the 2003-04 season. The Eagles take on the Wichita Thunder Friday, December 12; face-off is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Budweiser Events Center. The Eagles with then face off with the New Mexico Scorpions for the first televised game in Eagles history (broadcast on UPN 20) Saturday, December 13; the puck will drop at 2:37 p.m. at the Bud Barn.
