
WWE Superstar Shawn Michaels to appear at Dodge CHL All-Star Game

ALBUQUERQUE â The New Mexico Scorpions announced today that World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Shawn Michaels will be appearing and signing autographs at the 2004 Dodge Central Hockey League All-Star Game, to be played at Tingley Coliseum on Thursday, Jan. 22. The Skills Competition takes place at 6 p.m. followed by the game at 7:05 p.m.
Known in wrestling circles as "The Heartbreak Kid," Michaels will be participating in the game's opening ceremonies as well as signing autographs in the Tingley Coliseum concourse for two hours during the contest.
"It is an honor to start 2004 by being a part of the Dodge CHL All Star Game in Albuquerque," said Michaels. "I am looking forward to meeting WWE and CHL fans at the game."
The Scorpions are back on the ice this Friday, Dec. 12 when the Lubbock Cotton Kings return to Tingley Coliseum. The first 1,500 fans to Friday's game will receive a FREE Scorpions stress puck courtesy of Bright Ideas.
Faceoff is 7:05 p.m., and the game can be heard on Sports Radio 610 The Sports Animal beginning at 6:50 p.m. Tickets for all Scorpions regular season home games and the 2004 Dodge CHL All-Star Game can be purchased at the Scorpions Team Store at the Far North Shopping Center, 6300 San Mateo NE, Suite F-1, or at any TicketMaster outlet, including through charge-by-phone at 505-883-7800 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
