Durham Bulls Game Notes

April 28, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Durham Bulls News Release

Durham Bulls (10-9) @ Lehigh Valley IronPigs (5-14); 7:05 p.m.

LHP Scott Diamond (1-0, 1.29) vs. RHP Paul Clemens (0-0, 4.91)

The Bulls play game two of their four-game set against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the first series of their seven-game road trip. Durham is 7-3 over its past 10, after opening the season just 3-6 - the worst nine-game start in the franchise's 18-year Triple-A history. Additionally, the squad's 4-1 mark over its last five games is the team's best five-game record since 7/6-7/18/14, when it went 7-1 over an eight-game span. Lehigh Valley - the Philadelphia Phillies' top affiliate - holds the 2nd-worst record in all of Minor League Baseball, trailing only Double-A Richmond (3-12; .200), as the team is just 2-10 over its last 12 games. Aided by playing in the same division as the IL's best team, Buffalo, the IronPigs' 7.5-game deficit is tied for the largest in Minor League Baseball with three other teams (Colorado Springs - AAA, Richmond - AA, Modesto - A+).
